I’m delighted to be teaching a new online creative writing course with Writing NSW: Character, Plot and Dialogue.

Whether you’re starting your first novel or looking to strengthen a work in progress, this course explores three of the essential building blocks of compelling fiction. Together we’ll look at creating memorable characters, developing engaging plots and writing dialogue that feels authentic and drives your story forward.

Drawing on my experience as an award-winning crime fiction author, manuscript assessor and writing mentor, I’ll share practical techniques, examples and exercises designed to help writers build confidence and develop stronger stories.

The course is suitable for writers at a range of experience levels and provides a supportive environment to learn, experiment and connect with other writers.
