Advanced copy of: SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILD by Kylie Orr

I had the privilege of reading an advanced copy of SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILD @kylieorr_writer and loved it.

A small town where friendships are like family, and a race against time to raise enough money to try save a child. A great mystery that raises questions around what is a life worth and who decides?

Someone Else’s Child kept me up late at night reading to find those answers. A ticking time bomb of a mystery that asks how far would you go to get what you need. (Blurb 👇🏻) Congratulations again @kylieorr_writer on a great debut 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻 BLURB – Ren will do anything for her best friend, Anna. The news that Anna’s daughter Charlotte has terminal brain cancer sends them on a desperate hunt for a cure and their only hope lies in an expensive European drug trial.

Ren jumps on board Anna’s fundraising efforts, willing to put everything on the line – her reputation in their close-knit community and all the money she can beg or borrow – to secure Charlotte’s place. When the local charity drive quickly becomes a nationwide campaign, townspeople start asking questions about the trial. Questions Ren can’t answer.

The more she uncovers, the more Ren realises the truth is darker than she could ever imagine. Are there any lines that won’t be crossed in their fight for Charlotte?

Happy Publication Cadance Bell – THE ALL OF IT: A BOGAN RHAPSODY

Happy publication @cadance.bell !🤩🚀📖 THE ALL OF IT: A BOGAN RHAPSODY – I was lucky enough to read this ahead of pub day & highly recommend. A memoir full of compassion, humour and unflinchingly honest. The writing on the line was beautiful – moving as well as many hilarious descriptions. Really a very special book. From the Blurb below ⬇️ « … Becoming Cadance was more than a gender transition: it was a transition in every way, fear to acceptance, from self-loathing to love, anger to kindness. She was determined to experience the all of it.

Written with dazzling creativity and exuberance, The All of It is a wild coming-of-gender memoir like no other. Tender, tragic, hilarious and life-affirming, it will leave you understanding a little more about trans people, rural Australia, family, millennials and the beautiful contradictions of our kaleidoscopic world. «. Congratulations @cadance.bell ! 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Thank you Yarram Story Fest 2022!

Huge thank you to all the #yarramstoryfest2022 organisers & volunteers, it was excellent. Also a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported it. It was a great day & @jemofthebrew sums it up beautifully below. (@jemofthebrew I got a copy of your book today OSCAR AND ALICE from Matt @artichokebooks @🤩) Thank you😍🥰💖REPOST • @jemofthebrew I had such an incredible time today as part of Yarram StoryFest. I faced my fear of public speaking and hosted a panel of writers discussing social issues in their work, I went to a workshop about writing characters, I ate a six course degustation of local bush tucker by a brilliant Indigenous chef, I had wonderful conversations with writers and thinkers and movers and shakers. I think I talked more today than I have in the last 3 years. And I also got to indulge my passion of talking about how great newsletters are 😅

Thanks everyone for such a great day, it was so memorable and I hope it can happen every year going forward!
